Rudy Alminana

For the past 12 years, Mr. Alminana has been working with children, teens and their families with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. He specializes in working with pre-teens and their families helping them cope when problems arise during this difficult developmental stage. He also works with individuals who are struggling with addictive patterns of behavior. He works with families and individuals in many types of environments, including social service agencies, various psychiatric settings, outpatient treatment programs, and private practice.

Mr. Alminana earned his Batchelor Degree in Social Psychology from Florida Atlantic University, and his Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University in Miami. He is licensed by the State of Florida to provide psychotherapeutic services; he has devoted the past 10 years to the study and treatment of early childhood abuse (physical, emotional, sexual) and how it affects the individual as an adult. He is a State Facilitator and Assessor of Batterers Intervention Programs and has extensive experience in leading groups dealing with issues of Anger Management, Co-Dependency, and Addiction Recovery.

In addition to his extensive training and experience, Mr. Alminana's personal asset of being bi-lingual allows him to offer his services in both English and Spanish.
