Our Mission

Childrens Rainbow Mountain Retreat, our first group on the front porch Childrens Rainbow Mountain Retreat, our second group on the front porch

A break in the storm, a joyful therapeutic dream retreat, the knowledge that dreams can come true. These are the things that we provide for children who have experienced sexual or physical abuse have special needs or have a life-threatening illness.

We believe that a dream retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, a time filled with laughter and joy will lift the spirits, enrich the lives, create memories, and strengthen hope. During the retreat, we strive to sprinkle a little magic into the lives of these special children and their families to brighten their futures.

We offer these children a four to five day retreat with their families. The trip, the stay, the meals, and all activities are free of charge. The planned group activities for the children range from simple joys such as sharing stories around an evening campfire to exciting trips to nearby Pigeon Forge's many attractions. We want the children to enjoy themselves and share their joy with their families.

"With understanding and love, we soothe mind and body, lift the spirit and build new hope. Play and laughter will strenghten the families, produce a positive outlook for the future, and create wonderful memories forever." (Sabine Hartman)

At Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat, it is never too late to dream and reach for the stars.
