Our Vision
GIVING HOPE TO OUR CHILDREN
In our day-to-day routine world, there are so many things we do that we don't even think about twice.
We wake up in the morning, get out of bed, get dressed, prepare and eat breakfast; then a multitude of
of things fall into place for us. But there are many children who can only watch as we do these simple
tasks; children who would be so happy if they could just get out of bed or get a drink of water on their own.
These are the children who will live real live childhood adventures while at Children's Rainbow Mountain
Retreat. They will enjoy the great outdoors from simple things like roasting marshmellows over a campfire
to a day's excursion to the nearby exciting attractions in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
We will give these special children a chance to do something in life that is fun and exciting for them, that
creates memories and gives them hope. We want these families to create solid bonds that will help ease
the way through the storms of life and increase their confidence in coming out victorious. We want the
children to feel carefree, loved, and happy at Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat, a place for children
to dream and families to heal.
Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat will consist of a main lodge with ten attached suites, five on each
side, as well as individual cabins. The lodge will have a fireplace, kitchen/storage area, restrooms,
laundry facilities, dining area, recreation room, meeting rooms, and a deck area in the back. Amenities
will include satellite TV, Wi-Fi in each room, and a big screen TV in the recreation room along with a variety
of games for the children. For enjoyment outdoors, we will provide a fishing lake, special game areas, pony
rides, farm animals, a petting zoo, hay rides, a rock-climbing wall, a splash park and walking trails. All
staff will be First Aid and CPR certified. Safety will be a priority in all areas.
Upon arrival, the families will be escorted to their suite or cabin. They will receive a schedule showing
group and individual activities available on the grounds and in town during their stay and a menu for
meal times in the main dining area. Special diet requirements will be met by our kitchen staff. Daily
meals will consist of a menu selection for breakfast and lunch with a pre-set dinner menu and time each
evening. After the conclusion of the evening meal, there will be different group activities available for all,
such as games, movies, arts and crafts, hay rides, and roasting marshmellows/telling stories around
the fire. The main idea is to enhance quality family time together in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.
We want go make their retreat an experience that the family will cherish forever.
Children and their families finding love, peace, and hope. Children and their families creating a lasting
bond of precious memories. Children and their families refreshed and restrengthened for the tough days
yet ahead. At Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat, it's that simple.
